We ascribe to an evidence-based integrated treatment model, which is focused on treating both substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health concerns in the same setting. Our downtown location offers convenience in a historic Victorian building with views of the Nashville skyline.
The Foundations Recovery Network Difference
Foundations Nashville provides highly individualized treatment to help individuals succeed in recovery. As part of Foundations Recovery Network, we believe in treating the whole person—mind, body and spirit. By pairing clinical and psychological treatment with flexible outpatient programs, individuals with co-occurring addiction and mental health disorders are able to identify the interactions of these issues and address them simultaneously to achieve long-term health.
Intensive Outpatient Treatment for Co-occurring Disorders
Foundations Nashville’s primary focus is to offer integrated treatment for co-occurring disorders. A staggeringly high percentage of those dealing with addiction issues are also struggling with a co-occurring mental health issues like depression, anxiety, trauma or bipolar disorder. In the past, these issues were treated separately, but research and practice have shown that people are much more likely to achieve and maintain a high quality of life if both issues are treated at the same time. This integrated treatment model has the highest success rate and offers the best possibility for long-term sobriety and lasting recovery.

Too often, individuals in need of treatment fall through the cracks, and many who need help don’t get it. That’s why we were committed to bringing our successful model to the Nashville area. Nashville is home to large communities of business, medical, music and entertainment professionals with tight schedules, as well as individuals from all backgrounds looking to receive treatment in a less-structured environment.
Our Historic Location
Foundations Nashville makes its home at Rose Hill, a historic Victorian house built in 1821 by Henry and Septima Rutledge, first cousins whose grandfathers were both signees of the Declaration of Independence. Named for Septima’s famous rose garden, Rose Hill was used as lodging for Union officers during the Civil War. Rose Hill has also hosted many prominent guests, including Andrew Jackson, James K. Polk and the Marquis de Lafayette. In the mid-1800s, a fire nearly destroyed the property. The damage was extensive, but renovations, including the addition of a Victorian façade, mask most of the evidence.
As Rose Hill aged, the once-proud mansion fell into disrepair and was turned into a boarding house and later apartments. Fortunately, the 21st century brought new life to Rose Hill, and the house was restored to its former glory. In 2013, Foundations Nashville became the latest caretakers of Rose Hill’s legacy. The beautifully restored home now welcomes those seeking outpatient treatment in Middle Tennessee for substance use and co-occurring mental health issues.
